Community Involvement
We work where we live.
Zion is headquartered in McKinney with operations across DFW and statewide Texas. Community participation we maintain:
- Local AHJ engagement. Our leads attend McKinney, Frisco, Plano, Allen, Dallas, and Fort Worth fire marshal meetings when scheduled. Knowing the inspector you'll meet in the field is how we keep code interpretation consistent.
- Apprenticeship pipeline. Zion Fire Academy is the most direct community contribution — we hire and train apprentices into a credentialed trade career instead of subcontracting work to traveling crews.
- Texas A&M FPE engagement. Texas's Fire Protection Engineering program at Texas A&M is a national resource. As the program builds out, we expect to be an engagement point for graduates exploring contractor-side careers.
- Fire-prevention education. We support local fire prevention week activities and are open to sponsorship requests from Texas fire departments and code-official chapters at info@zion.us.
